Grant, Alex and Liam will be there.
The Battle Barn event on the 16th was a lot of fun, so anticipate this one will be very good too.

With only 3 signed up I'm starting to get really worried...
This has now been changed to a singles event.

Come on fantasy crew! What is holding you back?
Is it the paypal thing?
Bottom line is that last fantasy tournament was a failure so if this one is a failure too I'll have to rethink about even bothering with the regular fantasy tournaments.
Are people only interested in the last 'Battle of the Beast' version with trophies?
(To add insult to injury the 40k side of things is looking very strong.)

i am depressed about this, fantasy is alot more fun, 40k seems to be about power gaming and whining

If no one want's to play fantasy, you could always run more 40K events. ;-)

No no... at the worst I would reduce fantasy to the 1 main tournament. We don't want to overkill the 40k either.
So far for this tournament we are looking at six people. Not great, but better than the last showing at least.

As usual here is one of the missions of the tournament:
Game 2: Giving Your Opponent the Runaround
Just because defeat seems to be certain one moment doesn’t mean you can’t pull the wool over your enemy’s eyes and steal victory away. When this does happen it will be due to some crafty outflanking maneuver or daringly break through of your opponent’s lines. To have the best chance you must bide your time and be ready to strike at the last moment… but don’t wait too long or you might be left with a crushing defeat…
Before picking sides take turns placing a total of 4 markers on the board. These markers must be at least 12 inches away from another marker and at least 6 inches from a board edge. Players roll for sides and the winner also deploys everything first. Units can be deployed anywhere on your half of the board that is at least 12 inches from the center, and alternatively they may be put into reserve. Units put into reserve will come in from either long board edge on turn 4 guaranteed, moving on in the remaining moves phase. After both sides have deployed the player that deployed second rolls a dice and on a 6 they get first turn, any other result means the player that deployed first gets first turn. During the course of the game the markers may not be moved, but they may be claimed by a unit moving over them. The marker will stay in that player’s control unit the other player moves a unit over the marker. Note this movement can be in any phase (even by a unit that’s fleeing) however a particular unit may only change the ownership of 1 marker per phase. The game will last 6 turns with a possible 7th on a 4+.
Objectives: - Have ownership of marker 1 at the end of the game. - Have ownership of marker 2 at the end of the game. - Have ownership of marker 3 at the end of the game. - Have ownership of marker 4 at the end of the game. - Have more flank and rear charges than your opponent over the course of the game.

That's too bad Chris.
We've had a couple of people back out, but just so everyone knows there will still be a cash prize no matter what. Even with only 4 people (the least a tournament can have) there would still be a $40 prize.

Also just a reminder that this is no longer a doubles tournament!

They are all the same.
You don;t need to be all painted but if it isn't then you lose 5 poins.

Just 3 colors. Basing isn't required.
